Mangaluru, Feb 25: Students of Swastika National Business School have submitted a formal complaint against a private firm named “Vexon,” operating opposite Shreyas Sweets in Kudroli, alleging that the company is exploiting college students under the pretext of training and job opportunities.
According to the complaint, the company collects Rs 2,000 as a training fee and conducts a three-day programme for students. However, the students claim that during the training, they are subjected to intense persuasion and given misleading information. After the programme, they are reportedly instructed to purchase a product worth Rs 51,000 and pressured to sell it.

“If students fail to achieve sales targets, they are allegedly told to adopt a ‘chain system’ by bringing in three more students each,” the complaint states. The students assert that this practice has ensnared several participants, particularly female students, causing mental stress and disruption to their academic pursuits.
Students stated that they were required to leave their rooms by 7 am and report for sessions. From 7am until approximately 2.30–3pm, mobile phones were allegedly not returned to them, and even later, phone usage was strictly limited. Classes reportedly continued again after 7.30 pm, where the same content explained during the day was repeated.
“24/7 they were with us. Even while going to the washroom, someone would wait outside,” a student stated in the complaint. Interaction with other newcomers was allegedly restricted, and when one girl attempted to speak to another participant, she
was reportedly scolded rudely by a senior partner.
Serious concerns were also raised regarding documentation. Aadhaar cards and photographs were allegedly collected on the first day itself, and students were made to sign forms as confirmation. They were reportedly compelled to remain until the third day and attend all sessions without
interruption.
Highlighting that the issue affects a significant number of students, the complainants said their college extended support, following which they collectively approached the authorities and submitted a written complaint seeking urgent intervention.
The students have urged the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation, verify the company’s licensing and operational legitimacy, and take strict action against the alleged malpractices.
