Most are tired after work and there are mistakes on all sides. Some drone in middle of road and without helmets and make sudden overtaking or undertaking( illegal) and heavy vehicles go very fast speed since they have deadlines. Like someone suggested, better make seperate lanes for two wheelers and autos( no cars)

You cannot blame lorry drivers or heavy vehicles drivers always. Do u know how 2 wheelers ride on highways surrounding Mangalore. Literally middle of the road and lane that too at the speed of 30 to 40 kmph. These heavy vehicles suddenly cannot control the speed. 2 wheelers going slow must go on extreme left and it's better to maintain a steady speed of 60 kmph.

Is there any need for helmet, if the rider is just knocked by a huge vehicle and instantly killed. By should the pillion also use a helmet. Does any minister own any helmet manufacturing business. The problem is heavy vehicles have a seperate lane

And like always the story ends with the driver of the truck absconding and getting bail, back in business in a week to repeat the same all over again. The only loss is for the family who may perhaps have lost the only source of income, husband, a father, a son.

RIP...💐 Very sad to hear that one more life is lost. Nothing can bring that person back, and the family has to suffer forever. This NH stretch near NMPT is always crowded. Two-wheelers and autos move here and there without checking properly what vehicle is coming from front or back. Heavy trucks are continuously moving in that area. On highway roads, speed will be high, one small mistake is enough for a big accident. There is a service road, but it is not maintained properly by MCC, and many people are also not using it. At the same time, heavy vehicles are parked on the roadside like it is their own parking area. Because of this, road space becomes less and confusion increases. Authorities and our elected JANA SEVAKARU should seriously look into this matter. Proper checking, strict rules, and better road management are required. If needed, two-wheelers and autos should be restricted on this high-speed stretch to avoid such tragedies. I am strongly stressing this point. Life is gone. We cannot bring it back. At least now, action should be taken before another family has to cry.
