Mangaluru, Mar 26: Carmel English Medium Higher Primary School, Kotekar, celebrated the UKG Graduation Day for the academic year 2025–26 on March 25 in the school auditorium. The programme was organized with great enthusiasm to mark an important milestone in the lives of the young learners. The ceremony was presided over by the joint secretary, Sr Juliana Mary AC, with the gracious presence of the chief guest, Ranjitha Mahesh Joshi, principal of Parijnan Vidyalay, Someshwar. The programme was guided by the principal, Sr Pramila AC, and the administrator, Sr Julie Ann.
The event commenced with a prayer song, invoking God’s blessings for the success of the programme and the bright future of the children. This was followed by the words of welcome delivered by the principal, who warmly greeted the dignitaries, parents, and students.

The anchoring of the programme was charmingly carried out by the LKG students, who confidently conducted the event. The LKG students also presented delightful cultural performances that showcased their talents and brought joy to the audience.
The UKG students expressed their gratitude through heartfelt words, followed by the vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of everyone involved in making the event successful.
The chief guest, in her message, highlighted the important role of teachers as guides, mentors, and sources of love who nurture children with care and patience. She emphasized that education is a beautiful journey and appreciated the confidence and growth of the children. She also acknowledged the vital role of parents, encouraging them to spend quality time with their children and reminding them that even small efforts and support make a significant difference in a child’s life.
The principal, in her address, invited the students to reflect on their journey from their early days in nursery and KG. She fondly recalled how some children joined with shyness while others were energetic, and appreciated the remarkable growth of each child. She also expressed gratitude to the teachers and led the students in a collective expression of thanks. She concluded by blessing the students for their future success and academic excellence.
The president, Sr Juliana Mary AC, in her inspiring address, described the occasion as a significant milestone in the early educational journey of the students. She emphasized that teamwork plays a vital role in achieving success and stated that “teamwork always makes dreams work.” She also appreciated the parents for their support and highlighted that the achievements of the children are a result of collective effort.
The distribution of merit certificates for LKG and UKG students was carried out by the president and the administrator. The UKG graduation certificates were awarded by the chief guest and the principal, marking a proud moment for the young graduates.
The programme concluded on a joyful note, leaving behind beautiful memories and a sense of accomplishment among students, parents, and teachers.
