Mangaluru: Two crude oil vessels arrive at NMPT, unloading underway

Mangaluru, Apr 1: Two large vessels carrying crude oil have arrived at the New Mangalore Port, boosting supply to the Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL).

The vessel Sunrise Way arrived on Monday carrying 88,152 metric tonnes of Mandji crude oil from Africa and is currently engaged in unloading operations at MRPL’s oil jetty.

Another vessel, Nagarjuna, carrying 97,354 metric tonnes of crude oil from the port of Primorsk in Russia, has reached the Single Point Mooring facility. Unloading of this cargo is expected to commence on April 1.

Meanwhile, a third vessel, Deshbhakt, is scheduled to arrive in Mangaluru on April 3 carrying 63,171 metric tonnes of Mangala crude oil from Rajasthan, which will also be supplied to MRPL.
