Surat, Apr 4: In a dramatic incident at Surat Railway Station, a passenger had a miraculous escape after falling under a moving train while attempting to board it.

The incident occurred when Train No. 09628 Ajmer Special Fair Express was departing from Platform No. 1. According to reports, the passenger tried to board the moving train but lost balance and slipped into the gap between the platform and the train.

Eyewitnesses said the train continued to move for nearly half a minute with the passenger trapped beneath, creating panic among those present at the station. The entire episode was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the station.

Acting swiftly, personnel of the Railway Police immediately responded to the situation. The train was brought to a halt, and the ???? was carefully pulled out from under the coaches.

Police Inspector J. B. Mithapara and his team then consoled the visibly shaken passenger and ensured his safety. After preliminary checks confirmed that he had not sustained serious injuries, he was allowed to continue his journey on the same train.

The timely intervention by railway police personnel averted a major tragedy, drawing praise from passengers and onlookers for their prompt and humane response.
