Mumbai, Oct 25: The makers of ‘Ramayana’ are set to unveil the film’s wedding song, ‘Mangal Rang’, following the release of two hit tracks.

The song will be released on YouTube at 9 am IST on Sunday, Oct 25. Featuring vocals by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, ‘Mangal Rang’ has been composed by A R Rahman and reportedly captures the wedding celebrations of Lord Ram and Sita in director Nitesh Tiwari’s film.

The song was first showcased at a launch event in Chennai, where its music and visuals offered an early glimpse of the film’s portrayal of the divine wedding. Portions of the song and the wedding sequence were also featured in the trailer, building anticipation among fans.

Ahead of the film’s theatrical release, the makers released a five-track soundtrack EP featuring ‘Jai Jai Ram’ and ‘Ravana Tandav’, along with the instrumental themes ‘Sita’s Aspiration’ and ‘The Rama Theme’.

The film marks the first collaboration on an Indian production between Oscar-winning composers A R Rahman and Hans Zimmer, known for their work on films such as ‘The Lion King’, ‘Gladiator’ and ‘Dune’. The soundtrack has also been released in regional languages through T-Series’ Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam YouTube channels.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that the Hindi and English versions of ‘Ramayana’ may have different runtimes. The Hindi version is reportedly expected to run for around three hours and 15 minutes, while the English version may be approximately two hours and 45 minutes long. The reported difference is attributed to the makers’ decision to trim certain song sequences to suit international audiences.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. ‘Ramayana’ is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 5, 2026.
