New Delhi, Apr 15: Nvidia is set to enter India’s cloud gaming market with the launch of its GeForce Now subscription service on April 16, marking a major expansion of its gaming ecosystem in the country.
The long-awaited rollout comes at a time when rising GPU and memory prices have significantly increased the cost of building high-performance gaming PCs, making cloud-based gaming an attractive alternative for users.

GeForce Now enables gamers to stream high-end PC titles directly to their devices without requiring powerful hardware or large storage capacity, offering access to resource-intensive games through remote servers.
With this launch, Nvidia joins global rival Microsoft, which has already introduced its Xbox Cloud Gaming platform in India, reflecting growing confidence in the country’s gaming market. Another domestic player, JioCloudGaming, is also competing in the space.
Nvidia’s service in India will be powered by advanced RTX 5080 GPUs, delivering high-quality performance with a maximum streaming bitrate of 100 Mbps. The company has set up its server infrastructure in Mumbai to ensure low latency and smoother gameplay for users.
The move signals intensifying competition in India’s cloud gaming sector, as companies tap into the rising demand for premium gaming experiences without the need for expensive hardware.
