Mangaluru, Apr 15: The department of Business Administration, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Mangaluru, is organising Sahyadri Carnival 2026 on April 17 promising to be a vibrant celebration of talent, innovation, and entrepreneurship among students.
As part of this grand initiative, three major events - Sahyadri Whiz Quiz, Marketverse, and Student Corner- will be conducted, bringing together students from across Karnataka.

The Sahyadri Whiz Quiz has already created significant academic engagement, with preliminary rounds conducted across 40 colleges in regions including Bhatkal, Brahmavara, Karwar, Coorg, Puttur, Sullia, Bantwal, and surrounding areas. Over 4,000 students participated in the prelims, out of which 500 students have been shortlisted for the grand finale to be held during the carnival.

1st Prize – Rs. 25,000 | 2nd Prize – Rs. 15,000 | 3rd Prize – Rs. 10,000

Marketverse will feature experiential learning through industry participation, with around 15 reputed companies such as Kaveri Tata Motors, Renault, Ather, Polar Bear, Laziz Pizza, Bajaj, KTM and others setting up stalls on campus. This initiative provides MBA students with hands-on exposure to marketing, sales, and customer engagement by managing and operating these stalls.
Adding to the entrepreneurial spirit, the Student Corner will showcase 15 stalls managed by students from various colleges. These stalls will feature products such as food items, fashion accessories, handmade crafts, lifestyle products, games, and creative merchandise. A competition will be held to recognise the stall generating the highest revenue.
The event will be inaugurated by Athmika Amin, director - JV Group of Companies, as the chief guest. Raksha P Chilimbi, alumna (MBA Batch 2020–22), Audit Associate 2 -KPMG GDC, will grace the occasion as the alumni guest.
The inauguration will also be attended by trustees – Devadas Hegde and Jagannath Chowta; Dr S S Injaganeri, principal; Dr Sudheer Shetty, vice principal & controller of examinations; Dr Vishal Samartha, director – MBA programme; along with faculty coordinators Prof Anirudh Bhat (programme convenor – Sahyadri Carnival), Prof Ramesh K G (Sahyadri Whiz Quiz), Prof Varun C S (Marketverse), and Prof Monisha Shetty (student corner).
