The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohammed Sameer (28) and Mohammed Irfan (26).

The arrests were made following a specific tip-off regarding circulation of counterfeit currency in Bantwal taluk of Dakshina Kannada district. Police stated that the accused were found in possession of high-value fake notes and were attempting to circulate them.

During the operation, police also seized three mobile phones and a car believed to have been used by the accused for their activities.
