Udupi: Mumbai-based man undergoing treatment goes missing after train journey

Udupi, May 5: A 52-year-old man from Mumbai, who had been undergoing treatment for depression, has been reported missing after arriving in Udupi by train.

The missing person has been identified as Prasad Sundar Shetty, a resident of Miskitta House, Vile Parle (South), Mumbai. According to police, he had been suffering from mental health issues for the past five years and used to visit his native place once every three months for treatment at a private hospital in Udupi.

He reportedly left Mumbai on April 26 by train and was expected to reach Udupi on April 27. However, upon arrival, he was found missing from the train.

Prasad is around 5 feet 8 inches tall, has an oily dark complexion, and a medium build. He is fluent in Tulu, English, Hindi, and Marathi.

Udupi Town police have appealed to the public to share any information regarding his whereabouts.
