New Delhi, May 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday strongly condemned the attack in Fujairah that left three Indian nationals injured, calling the targeting of civilians and infrastructure “unacceptable.”

In a post on X, PM Modi expressed India’s solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and stressed the need for peaceful resolution of regional tensions through dialogue and diplomacy. He also highlighted that safe and uninterrupted navigation through the Strait of Hormuz is crucial for global energy security and regional stability.

The incident occurred on Monday when attacks in Fujairah injured three Indian nationals. The Indian Embassy in the UAE confirmed that it is in contact with local authorities to ensure medical care and support for those affected.

The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs blamed Iran for the strikes, describing them as “renewed unprovoked aggression” involving missiles and drones. It termed the attack an “unacceptable act of aggression” and a violation of international law and the UN Charter.

The ministry further stated that the UAE reserves the right to respond to such actions in order to protect its sovereignty and security, while urging an immediate halt to hostilities.

Officials in the UAE said the attacks endangered civilian lives and infrastructure, holding Iran fully responsible for the consequences of the strike.
