Jerusalem, May 10: In a recent statement from Jerusalem, the Israel Defense Forces said it carried out a series of coordinated strikes targeting weapons infrastructure linked to Palestinian and Lebanese armed groups.
According to the military, an airstrike destroyed a weapons production facility and storage site in northern Gaza allegedly operated by Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The IDF claimed the site was also used by Hamas for producing explosive devices and storing weapons intended for attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers.

The IDF said its Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area as operations continue.
In a separate set of operations, the Israeli military reported strikes on weapons depots and a drone launch site in southern Lebanon, which it claimed were used by Hezbollah to target Israeli forces operating near the border. The IDF also said it hit two rocket launchers that were reportedly prepared for immediate use, noting that one had previously been used in earlier attacks.
According to the IDF’s operational summary, multiple explosive drones launched from Lebanese territory were intercepted or crashed near the border area. The military stated that one reserve soldier was seriously injured, while two other reservists sustained moderate injuries. All injured personnel were evacuated for medical treatment, and their families were informed.
The IDF further claimed that it conducted more than 85 strikes on Hezbollah-linked infrastructure, including weapons storage facilities, military buildings, and rocket launch sites. In the Bekaa Valley, it said an underground weapons manufacturing facility was also targeted, allegedly used to produce arms intended for attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.
The military emphasized that its air force and ground units continue to operate against what it describes as ongoing threats from multiple fronts, while tensions remain high along both the Gaza and Lebanon borders.
