Mumbai, Jun 24: Television actor Dheeraj Dhoopar has been announced as the fourth contestant of the upcoming reality series ‘Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa’, joining previously revealed participants Shivangi Joshi, Pamela Serena and Ram Kapoor.
The makers unveiled Dhoopar’s participation ahead of the show's premiere on June 27, promising audiences a new side of the popular actor as he enters the high-pressure environment of the reality competition.
Known for his strong presence on television and a loyal fan base, Dhoopar said he is eager to step outside his comfort zone and take on a completely different challenge.

“I’ve always enjoyed taking on new challenges, and Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa is unlike anything I’ve done before. This is a completely different space for me,” he said.
The actor added that viewers have largely known him through the fictional characters he has portrayed over the years and that he is excited to reveal his real personality.
“People have always known me through the characters I have portrayed. I’m excited to show people a side of me they haven’t seen before. Bring it on,” he said.
With his competitive spirit and significant popularity among television audiences, Dhoopar’s entry is expected to add a fresh dimension to the game.
The reality show will be hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh.
Earlier, fellow contestant Ram Kapoor had revealed that participating in the show was an unexpected decision, adding that his family was concerned when he informed them about joining the series.
Speaking at the launch event, Kapoor said his children were particularly surprised by his decision.
“I never imagined I would do a show like this. Yesterday, it was Father’s Day. My children woke me up and asked why I was participating in this show. They were worried. For the first time, they asked me this question,” he said.
Kapoor also shared that several unexpected developments convinced him to consider the offer.
“Sometimes the universe gives you signs. I got four signs. The first was that the casting person who approached me is a close and highly respected friend. She would never normally suggest a show like this to me, but she asked me to consider it. I went to meet her fully prepared to decline, but then I met two people whose pitch completely surprised me,” he said.
The show's launch event was attended by Farah Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Ekta Kapoor, Monika Shergill and Ram Kapoor at a five-star hotel in Mumbai.
‘Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa’ will begin streaming on Netflix from June 27.
