Mumbai, Jun 25: The teaser of much-awaited ‘Mirzapur The Movie’ was released on Thursday, June 25, and quickly became a major talking point among fans, with social media users discussing every detail from the action-packed glimpse.
The teaser brings back popular characters including Pankaj Tripathi’s Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal’s Guddu Pandit and Divyenndu’s Munna Bhaiya in a powerful new avatar, creating excitement among followers of the crime drama franchise.
However, one major casting change caught the attention of fans. Actor Jitendra Kumar, popularly known as Jeetu Bhaiya from Kota Factory and Sachiv Ji from Panchayat, has stepped into the role of Bablu Pandit, Guddu Pandit’s younger brother.

The character was earlier portrayed by actor Vikrant Massey in the original series.
The casting change received mixed reactions online. While some fans appreciated Jitendra Kumar’s brief appearance in the teaser, others expressed that they missed Vikrant Massey in the role.
One social media user wrote that Vikrant Massey was “dearly missed” in the teaser, while praising Jitendra Kumar as a talented actor but questioning his suitability for the character. Another fan also shared that the trailer looked impressive but Vikrant Massey’s absence was felt.
‘Mirzapur The Movie’ release date
The film is scheduled to release on September 4, 2026, in Hindi and Telugu languages. The makers had also unveiled the first-look posters of the cast on June 24, 2026, giving fans a glimpse of the upcoming film.

The crime drama will feature several actors from the original series, including Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit, Divyenndu as Munna Tripathi, Shweta Tripathi as Golu Gupta, Rajesh Tailang as Ramakant Pandit, Sheeba Chaddha as Beena Tripathi and Shriya Pilgaonkar as Sweety Gupta.
The new additions to the cast include Ravi Kishan, Jitendra Kumar as Bablu Pandit, Sonal Chauhan and Sushant Singh in key roles.
