Los Angeles, Jun 29: Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and Dutch DJ Martin Garrix turned an ordinary wedding celebration into an unforgettable experience after making a surprise appearance at a couple's reception in Chicago, fulfilling a heartfelt request sent through social media.

The unexpected visit came after Martin Garrix received a direct message from Mike Kindelin, who invited the two global music stars to surprise his sister, Tessa, and her husband, Brendan Harty, on their wedding day. Both artists, who were already in Chicago for separate performances, decided to accept the invitation.

Sharing the experience with fans on Instagram, Sheeran posted a video documenting the impromptu adventure. In the clip, he explained that after finishing their respective concerts, Garrix showed him the message asking whether they would be willing to crash the wedding.

The video follows the pair as they travel to the venue before being welcomed by Mike, who introduced the surprise guests to those present.

As Ed Sheeran and Martin Garrix entered the reception hall, the celebration erupted into cheers and applause from stunned guests. The duo then joined the wedding party on the dance floor, performing their collaborative track "Repeat It", making the evening even more memorable for the newlyweds.

Speaking to ABC7 Chicago after the celebration, bride Tessa Kindelin described the surprise as beyond anything she had imagined.

She said she and her husband had jokingly discussed the idea of inviting the two musicians to their wedding but never expected it to actually happen.

Tessa revealed that although she knew her brother had been in touch with Martin Garrix, she had no idea that Ed Sheeran would also accompany him.

Recalling the moment, she said she initially heard the music before spotting Sheeran among the crowd, leaving her completely stunned.

Calling the experience "unbelievable," she said the appearance of both artists made what was already a special day even more extraordinary.

Groom Brendan Harty echoed her sentiments, describing the surprise as surreal and saying it became one of the defining moments of their wedding celebrations.

He also hinted that Sheeran performed more than just "Repeat It", adding another memorable touch to an evening the couple and their guests are unlikely to forget.
