Mumbai, Jul 2: Veteran actor Shilpa Shirodkar will revisit memorable moments from her Bollywood journey in the upcoming episode of India's Best Dancer Season 5, sharing heartwarming anecdotes about Karisma Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan.
Looking back at the 1994 film Gopi Kishan, Shilpa dismissed long-standing rumours of rivalry among leading actresses of the 1990s and instead recalled a gesture by Karisma Kapoor that left a lasting impression on her.
She said that during the film's shoot at Bhalla Bungalow on Mumbai's Hill Road, there were only two make-up rooms available for the cast. Since it was Karisma's first day on the set, the production team wanted to allocate one of the rooms to her.

Shilpa said she suggested that she and co-star Suniel Shetty share one room so Karisma could use the larger room. However, after learning about the arrangement, Karisma insisted on sharing the make-up room with Shilpa instead, saying it would not be right for Suniel to adjust.
Recalling the incident, Shilpa said the experience disproved the perception that Karisma was difficult to work with and reflected the mutual respect shared by actors during that era.
She added that every individual forms relationships based on personal experiences rather than public perceptions.
The actor also shared an emotional memory of meeting Amitabh Bachchan for the first time during the shooting of the song Kagaz Kalam from the 1991 film Hum at Fernhill Palace in Ooty.
Shilpa said she was a newcomer and a huge admirer of the veteran actor. She recalled being overwhelmed when Bachchan arrived on the set wearing an electric blue overcoat and his trademark glasses.
She said she forgot all her dance steps out of nervousness before Bachchan introduced himself with a warm greeting.
The anecdote left judges Jaaved Jaaferi, Karisma Kapoor, Terence Lewis and Geeta Kapur visibly moved during the episode.
India's Best Dancer Season 5 airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9.30 pm on Sony Entertainment Television.
