Mangaluru, Jul 2: Ladyhill School (ICSE), Urwa, enthusiastically welcomed parents of grades I to IV to its parent orientation programmes, reaffirming its belief that a child's success flourishes when parents and educators work hand in hand. The programmes provided an engaging platform to introduce parents to the school's academic vision, key initiatives, and collaborative goals for the academic year 2026–27, while strengthening the vital bond between home and school in nurturing confident, responsible, and holistic learners.
The parent orientation programme for grades III and IV, held on June 24, commenced with a prayer service. A vibrant cultural presentation by the students warmly welcomed the parents. Tr Keerthi welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person, Verina Joshna, counsellor and life skills facilitator, Mangaluru, for an insightful session.













































The keynote session on ‘Beyond screen time: Building healthy digital habits’ was led by Verina Joshna, who shared valuable insights on nurturing confident, responsible, and emotionally balanced children in the digital age. Emphasising the role of parents as the first educators, she encouraged them to foster open communication, set healthy digital boundaries, spend quality time with their children, and create a supportive environment that promotes holistic growth and well-being.
Addressing the gathering, principal Sr Therese Teena AC underscored the importance of a strong partnership between parents and educators in shaping confident, responsible, and successful learners. She encouraged parents to actively support their children's academic and personal growth. The class teachers further familiarised parents with the curriculum, assessment and examination patterns, school policies, the PTA audit report, and the effective use of the NeverSkip App, ensuring a smooth and productive academic journey.
The Parent-Teacher Executive Committee (PTEC) elections were conducted by administrator Sr Ida Barboza AC, encouraging greater parental involvement in the school's journey. The programme concluded with an engaging interactive session, where parents actively shared their views, sought clarifications, and exchanged ideas, reinforcing the spirit of collaboration and partnership between home and school.
The programme concluded on a note of gratitude with a vote of thanks proposed by Tr Winnie Crasta, who acknowledged the valuable contributions of the resource person, parents, management, and staff. The event was seamlessly compered by Tr Navomi Yashavanthi, whose confident and engaging anchoring added vibrancy and warmth to the proceedings.

She encouraged parents to prioritise quality time, promote active lifestyles, and instil positive values to support their children's holistic development.
