Chennai, Jul 6: Actor-filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan has officially entered film production with the launch of his home banner, PR Show, and announced his first production venture, tentatively titled PRS01.
The film was launched on Monday with a special announcement video, which also marked the commencement of shooting.
PRS01 stars Mamitha Baiju, Ashwath Marimuthu, Swasika, debutant Anamika Mahi and Telugu actor Sivaji Sontineni in pivotal roles.

The project is being directed by the Alpha Unit, a collective of six filmmakers comprising Vishal TR, Yash V, Naren Saoda, Chanakkiyan R, Dhanush Kumar and Ilamparithi, who previously assisted Pradeep on his directorial ventures.
Apart from producing the film, Pradeep has also written its story.
The film reunites him with music composer Sai Abhyankkar after Dude. Alongside the announcement, the composer released a 132-second promotional track titled Aane Wala Star on YouTube, which is expected to serve as the film's title song.
While reports have suggested the film is women-centric and that Ashwath Marimuthu portrays a police officer, the makers have not officially confirmed the storyline or character details. Information on the plot, genre, release date and additional cast members is expected to be announced in the coming months.
The technical crew includes cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman, editor Pradeep E. Ragav, production designer Aswin Lara and choreographer Dinesh Kadi. Deepan Raj serves as the creative lead, while Ramesh Narayanan is the creative producer.
PRS01 marks Pradeep's first full-fledged production after serving as co-producer on Loveyapa, the Hindi remake of his directorial Love Today. The film also reunites him professionally with Mamitha Baiju after Dude and Ashwath Marimuthu after Dragon.
The makers have confirmed that the film will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
Pradeep was last seen in Love Insurance Kompany, directed by Vignesh Shivan. He has multiple projects in development, including an unannounced directorial venture, while his next film as an actor is yet to be officially announced.
