Mumbai, Jul 14: International action star Jackie Chan has paid an emotional tribute to acclaimed Hong Kong film producer Nansun Shi following her death, describing her as a legendary figure whose contribution to cinema will never be forgotten.
Sharing his condolences on Instagram, Chan posted a series of nostalgic photographs with Shi and reflected on her lasting influence on the film industry.

"It is with great shock to hear the news of Nansun Shi's passing. The film industry has lost another legendary figure," he wrote.
Remembering her achievements, Chan said that generations of filmmakers and audiences would continue to admire not only her exceptional body of work but also the integrity and dedication she brought to filmmaking.
"I'm sure that no matter when we look back at her outstanding achievements, everyone will remember the spirit and integrity of this person behind those classic works. Big sister Nansun, rest in peace. We pay our deepest respects to you and will remember you forever," he added.
The photographs shared by Chan captured moments from their long association, reflecting the friendship and mutual admiration they shared over the years.
Although Jackie Chan and Nansun Shi never collaborated in a formal actor-producer capacity, they maintained a close professional relationship and held deep respect for each other's contributions to Hong Kong cinema.
Shi, the celebrated co-founder of Film Workshop, died peacefully on July 13 at Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital at the age of 75, according to a statement issued by the production company. She had been battling declining health caused by complications related to her immune system, with repeated infections eventually leading to multiple organ failure.
Renowned Hong Kong actor Donnie Yen also mourned her passing, expressing profound sadness over the loss of one of the film industry's most influential personalities and honouring her remarkable legacy.
