New Delhi, Jul 18: A woman allegedly threw an ink-like liquid at Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Saturday while he was addressing supporters at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, briefly disrupting the protest following the removal of activist Sonam Wangchuk from the site.
The incident triggered a brief commotion as supporters rushed towards the stage after the substance was hurled at Dipke during his address.
Police are yet to establish the identity of the woman or the motive behind the act. An investigation is expected to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The disruption occurred shortly after Dipke announced that he would begin an indefinite hunger strike to protest against the removal of Wangchuk from the demonstration site. His announcement had drawn a large gathering of supporters at Jantar Mantar.
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has been staging a protest at Jantar Mantar since June 6, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged NEET paper leak controversy.
Climate activist and educator Sonam Wangchuk joined the protest and began an indefinite hunger strike on June 28 in support of the movement.
Earlier on Saturday, Wangchuk was shifted to a hospital after completing 21 days of fasting, following concerns over his deteriorating health. Delhi Police said the move was carried out in accordance with directions of the Delhi High Court and on the advice of medical experts.
Police personnel reached the protest venue in the morning and escorted Wangchuk to the hospital amid sloganeering and objections from CJP activists and other protesters present at the site.
Following Wangchuk's removal, Dipke addressed the gathering, alleging that the activist had been forcibly taken away by the police and declaring that the agitation would continue. He also announced the start of his own hunger strike, during which the woman emerged from the crowd and allegedly threw the ink-like substance at him, briefly interrupting the programme.
