Mumbai, Jul 30: Actor Gautami Kapoor apologised to reality show contestant Shreya Kalra on behalf of her husband Ram Kapoor after a controversy erupted over a viral video showing him kissing Shreya on the cheek on the reality show ‘Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa’.

The issue resurfaced in the latest episode of the show when Gautami entered the house along with Shreya’s boyfriend Rishabh Jaiswal as part of a special segment where contestants met their loved ones.

Approaching Shreya with folded hands, Gautami apologised for Ram’s alleged behaviour and said she was not defending his actions.

"If he made a mistake, please forgive him. If he touched you inappropriately or made you uncomfortable, I apologise on his behalf," Gautami said during the episode.

The controversy began after a video of Ram kissing Shreya on the cheek went viral on social media, with several viewers expressing concern and claiming that Shreya appeared uncomfortable during the interaction.

Earlier, Gautami had publicly defended her husband amid the criticism surrounding the incident. However, during her appearance on the show, she acknowledged Shreya’s concerns and offered an apology.
