Mumbai, Aug 15: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Saturday claimed that the official Instagram account of the CJP movement had been taken down, sharing screenshots showing that the page was unavailable.

In a post on X, Dipke wrote, “They took down the official Instagram handle of Cockroach Janta Party. Bloody cowards!”

The screenshots shared by him showed the CJP’s official Instagram page as unavailable or displaying “user not found”. Dipke alleged that Meta had taken down the account.

The CJP’s official X account also claimed that its Instagram page had been taken down earlier in the day but said the account was later successfully recovered.

“CJP Instagram handle was taken down this morning. But we have been able to successfully recover the account,” it said.

The party also criticised those opposing the CJP, accusing them of “choosing India’s Independence Day to try to muzzle our voice”.

“We will not be intimidated by such cowardly acts!” it said.

In May this year, Dipke had claimed that his Instagram account had been “hacked” and that he was unable to access it.

He had also alleged that Meta took down a backup Instagram account being used by the CJP.

In a post on X, Dipke said his Instagram account “has been hacked”.

“@Meta, I have lost access to my Instagram account. Trying to recover it but unable to,” he wrote in another post.

The Cockroach Janta Party is set to launch its 'School Thik Karo' campaign in Dipke’s village in Maharashtra’s Hingoli district on Independence Day.

The campaign aims to improve infrastructure and accountability in rural government schools.

Speaking to reporters after returning from Delhi, Dipke said he would begin the campaign in his village and request the sarpanch to repair the local government school and ensure that basic facilities such as benches and drinking water are available.

“We have formed teams who will visit villages and request people and sarpanchs to take steps to improve the condition of schools, because we want to get this done with everyone's participation,” he said.

According to an official release issued on Friday, the campaign was scheduled to begin at Santuk Pimpri village at 7:30 am.

Dipke also appealed to people to visit their children’s schools and inform the CJP if they find any facilities or other requirements missing.
