Mangaluru, Sep 10: Former DySP Anupama Shenoy has questioned the suspension of two government school teachers for allegedly participating in an RSS route march, while no action has been taken against Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, despite his alleged association with RSS-related activities.

Speaking in Mangaluru Press club, Shenoy said Shivakumar had sung the RSS song ‘Namaste Sada Vatsale’ in the legislative assembly and had also received a rakhi from RSS workers, yet no action had been taken against him.

“D K Shivakumar is behaving like a close friend of the RSS, but government employees are the ones facing action,” she said.

Referring to the suspension of two teachers from Yadgir who allegedly participated in an RSS route march last year, Shenoy said RSS workers should raise their voice in support of the suspended teachers.

She argued that the lack of legal registration of the RSS was resulting in injustice to government employees. She also questioned the silence of minister Priyank Kharge on the issue.

“If the organisation agrees, I am ready to work towards registering the RSS,” Shenoy said.
