Mumbai, Sep 26: Actress Saumya Tandon, who was last seen in the blockbuster *Dhurandhar*, has expressed gratitude to filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya, describing the opportunity to work under his direction as a dream for any actor.
Saumya took to Instagram and shared a series of pictures from the sets of her upcoming film *Yeh Prem Mol Liya*, featuring herself with Barjatya and other members of the cast and crew. She also shared a picture of the film’s poster featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari.
"It’s a dream for any actor to be directed by #soorajbarjatiya sir. From the most happy set ever. I cherish every moment I spent on the sets of #yehpremmolliya," she wrote in the caption.
Expressing her appreciation for the experience, Saumya added, "I truly believe that the pure love you see on screen can only come from the real love that exists behind it. Thanks for this blissful experience @rajshrifilms with most beautiful cast and crew. See you in cinemas on 27th Nov."
The title track of *Yeh Prem Mol Liya* was released recently, offering audiences a glimpse into the world of the film. However, details about the project continue to remain under wraps.
Meanwhile, Saumya was part of *Dhurandhar*, directed by Aditya Dhar. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi, along with Manav Gohil, Danish Pandor, Saumya Tandon, Gaurav Gera and Naveen Kaushik in supporting roles.
The film draws inspiration from real-life events involving geopolitical tensions and covert operations associated with India’s Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW), including Operation Lyari, the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks and operations against gangs and criminal syndicates.
Saumya began her acting career with the Afghan television serial *Khushi* in 2008 as part of an international project, in which she played the lead role of an Afghan woman doctor.
She later co-hosted *Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout* with Shah Rukh Khan in 2011. She also hosted *Dance India Dance* for three seasons and co-hosted the *Bournvita Quiz Contest* with Derek O’Brien for three seasons.
The actress also appeared in Imtiaz Ali’s *Jab We Met*, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, where she played Roop, the sister of Kareena’s character Geet.
In 2015, Saumya began playing Anita in the popular comedy television series *Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!*. She became widely known as "Gori Mem", a name used for her character in the show by Rohitashv Gour’s character.
