It is shame on Indian government & Air India, If our government cannot manage this limited number of flights, how they manage 100 crore people in india? Why dont` allow some other direct flights to fly Gulf to Mangalore? Air india is sure that they will recover the loss due to this strike by charging high fare on monopoly routes like mangalore. The Ultimate losers are innocent travellers they will lose their money, time, & peace.

Dear Gulf Mangalorean associations, isnt this a wake up call for all of us to get into action and spearhead a movement to try and get other airlines to fly into mangalore and break the monopoly of the government airline which has put us into so much inconvenience. Just to get the best deals from the airlines we start planning our summer leaves as soon as Jan comes and book our tickets by Feb-Mar. Now see the uncertain misery that we are all subjected to.

Next week most schools will close for the summer break and we are all left wondering whether we can travel or not !!! And ultimately the airline behaves as if nothing as happens gives inconvenient alternatives to travel and just does not think of the passenger's misery. Please let us all join hands and again start a campaign to get other airlines to fly direct in mangalore.. We are sure if there is pressure from all of us something should work out or else why do we call mangalore an international airport???

THE BEST SOLUTION AND A LASTING SOLUTION TO THIS LOSS MAKING WHITE ELEPHANT IS TO PRIVATISE THE AIRLINES TO BRING IN MORE EFFICIENCY AND COMPETENCY AND TRANSPARENCY.AIR INDIA OR AIR INDIA EXPRESS IS NOT GIVING ANY BETTER SERVICE TO THE PASSENGERS IN TERMS OF FARE OR INFLIGHT SERVICE ON THE CONTRARY THE GOVT HAS BEEN REPEATEDLY BEEN BAILING OUT WITH HEAVY FINANCING FROM THE TAX PAYERS MONEY TO KEEP IT AFLOAT WHICH THESE STAFF OF THE AIRLINES DONT REALISE . IF IT IS A PROFIT MAKING VENTURE THEN THEY ARE JUSTIFIED IN ASKING FOR MORE BENEFITS BUT WHEN THE AIRLINES ITSELF IS IN THE RED AND THE GOVT IS FUNDING IT TO KEEP IT AFLOAT HOW FAR THIS STRIKE IS JUSTIFIED BETTER SHUT DOWN THIS AIRLINES AND RID OF THIS SCOURGE AND INCONVINIENCE TO PASENGERS WHO HAVE BEEN LOYAL TO THIS AIRLINES

    Rakesh Shetre,
Why can't you join congress and take up the post of Aviation Minster to clean up the mess instead of showing fingers on others. So that your fellow indian travel without trouble.

There is no monopoly or oligopoly. This is nothing but arrogant attitudes of both Pilots Unions and Union Government. UPA Civil Aviation Minister fails to find an alternative solution to solve passengers’ problem. Though he has every right to curtain “Pirate Pilots” adamant nature but same time he should also look for an alternative solution with plan-2 or they have to close Air India for good

Great news….!!! Great record….!!! One more great work is pending to do is Retain all the Air India Flights in warehouse and close the shutter, also allow rest of all the Foreign County (International) Flights to land in our Mangalore Airport so no passenger will be on trouble. Also sanction permanent leave to those Pilots who are in strike.
