Bangalore, Jun 8: Kannada Development Authority Chairman Mukhyamantri Chandru on Friday urged  the Chief Minister to frame rules to set aside some percentage of jobs to Kannadigas in private firms established in Karnataka.

Welcoming Global Investors’ Meet organised by the State Government to attract investment in various sectors, he said a condition must be included to provide jobs to locals in factories while signing agreements with companies.

He urged the Government to suspend the rule for introducing English medium education from 6th standard in government higher primary schools till a uniform policy was formulated for both government and private schools in the State

The BJP leader said there was no uniform policy on medium of instruction in the State and private management schools were free to start English medium education from Class One.

He urged Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda to suspend imparting of English medium education from 6th standards in government school till uniform national or state policy was evolved to impart education at the primary level

He urged the Chief Minister to hold a meeting with experts and language experts to evolve consensus on the issue.

A few days ago, Confederation of pro-Kannada organisations led by the Kannada Sahitya Parishat had set a 15-day deadline for the State Government to rescind the order for introducing English Medium Education in Government Schools from the 6th Standard.

It is too late.B'lore has been already culturally invaded by Marwaris. One look in to commercial steet will tell u who the big owners are. They speak only in Hindi and B'lore is already South Indian capital of North India! We need to chase hindi and hindi speakers from B'lore to save our " kasthuri" kannada!

Yes Kannadigas must get 50% jobs of private sector. All outsiders are coming and taking the benefits of Karnataka and dominating us in our own state..Look at other states and you will find only locals in the majority in the jobs...

Whereas in Karnataka Kannadigas are a minority and almost nil in many private sector companies,,north indians and tamilians and telugus have occupied bengaluru.. We Kannadigas never protest or demand jobs anywhere, A Horata is required for this purpose,I am working in orissa and here the majority are the locals..People from outside states are a minority..

WE NEED MORE UNITY AMONG KANNADA PEOPLE AND KEEP ASIDE OUR DIFFERENCES LIKE TULU,COORGI ETC ETC...  JAI KARNATAKA,PLEASE SUPPORT IF YOU FEEL WHAT I SAID IS RIGHT WE HAVE TO SAVE KANNADA NAADU AS OURS AND PREVENT IT FROM GOING TO THE HANDS OF OUTSIDERS! THOSE WHO ARE ANTI KARNATAKA PLEASE STOP DRINKING THE FOOD AND WATER OF KARNATAKA AND GET OUT FROM OUR STATE!
