Mangalore: Konkani Natak Sabha Holds Poetry Competition

Mangalore, Aug 5: Konkani Natak Sabha recently organized poetry competition at Don Bosco Hall, here.

The competition was held in two categories - below 18 years and above 18 years.

               

In the below 18 years category, 13 competitors from five parishes took part in the competition. Prethuma Monteiro, Vamanjoor parish bagged the first place, Amora Monteiro, Vamanjoor parish bagged the second place, Ashel Sequeira, Bondel parish and Nilisha Anjeline D’Souza, Bejai parish bagged the third place.

In the above 18 years category 12 competitors from seven parishes took part in the competition. Clement Fernandes, Tacode parish bagged the first place, Sapna Saldanha, Vamanjoor parish bagged the second place, Lizzy Fernandes, Paldane parish bagged the third place.

Melwin Rodrigues, Walter Dantis and Maurice D’Sa were the judges for the competition.

Fr Cyprian Peter D’Souza welcomed the gathering.

Dolpy Saldanha compered the programme.

General secretary Sunil Menezes proposed the vote of thanks and convener Stany Menezes announced the results.
