Udupi: Blood Donation Camps Held Across City

Udupi, Aug 6: Mogaveera Yuva Sangatane, Kallianpur in association with G Shankar Family Trust Ambalpady, Udupi and KMC Manipal conducted voluntary blood donation camp at Milagres Tri-Centunary Hall in Kallianpur on Sunday Aug 5.

Fr Stany B Lobo, parish priest, Milagres Church, Kallianpur inaugurated the camp.


Nadoja Dr G Shankar, Umesh Thingalaya, president of  Mogaveera Yuva Sangatane Udupi, Dr Shami Shastri, KMC Manipal, Appu Jathan, Vice-president, Kallianpura panchyat, Muralidhar Suvarna, JCI president, Santhekatte, Umesh Shetty, Uday Kumar, Subbanna Pai, Sunil Moodebettu, Vinora Baretto, ICYM, Kallianpur, Manjunath Kanchan, Eshwar, Vinod Kamath, Sharath Kumar, Harish Nidamballi among many others were presented during the program.

The camp received an overwhelming response from the public which made the program a grand success.

St Mary’s Orthodox Syrian youth Association, Brahmavar organized blood donation camp, in association with Mogaveer Yuva Sangantan, Brahmavar unit, G Shankar Family Trust, St Anthony Orthodox Syrian Youth Association, Kolalgiri, Dr A V Baliga Institute, Harady, NSS and Indian Red Cross unit – SMS College, Brahmavar, K M C Manipal, district administration at S M S community building, Brahmavar here on Sunday August 5.

Dr G Shankar, chairman of G Shankar Family Trust inaugurated the programme.

Fr Lawrence D’Souza presided over the programme.

Mogaveer Yuva Sangatan district president Jaya C Kotian, Brahmavar zonal president Laxman Kundar, NCC officer G B Shetty, youth association vice president Mervyn Rodrigues, trustee Lucas Dias, secretary Joyson Rodrigues, Manipal blood bank assistant director Dr Shami Shastry, NCC commanding officer Givari, camp commander Pankajakshan among many others were present during the programme.

Fr David Crasta welcomed the gathering. Vishwanat M Koorady proposed the vote of thanks. Valerian Crasta compered the programme.
