Mangalore: 16 Class X Students Felicitated at Lourdes High School

Mangalore, Aug 27: It was a proud moment for the class X Lourdites who secured CGPA 10 in the class X exams conducted by the CBSE in March. A felicitation programme was organized for them in the school auditorium at 10am on August 23.

The sixteen students walked majestically with their parents to be honored with a trophy and a certificate. Their achievements in various other activities were read out by the principal Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves with encouraging words of appreciation.

                                        

Fr Pius D’Souza, the superior of St. Joseph’s seminary was the chief guest. He commended the hard work put in by the students in securing these grades.

 Ivan D’Souza, the PTEC President and Augustine Rodrigues, Vice President of Bijai Parish Council were the Guests of honor. The manager of the school, Dr Victor Machado was the president of the day’s function.

Dr Victor Machado congratulated the students in his presidential address and shared an anecdote to give the importance of hard work in one’s life.

Shaila Prabhu of class XI welcomed the gathering and Joyleen Fernandes of class X proposed the vote of thanks.
