Mangalore: Annual Feast of Pakshikere Church from Oct 13 to 28

Mangalore, Oct 10: The annual feast of St Jude Church, Pakshikere will be celebrated from October 13 to 28, said Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, parish priest. He was addressing the media persons at a press meet held at Abhinandhan near Kinnigoli.






Fr Andrew said that the celebration will begin with midnight vigil on October 13 and meditation prayer will be held from October 18 to 20 .

On October 21, mass will celebrated in Pakshikere along with Hore Kanike. Preachers from Shimoga like Br TK George, Fr Roman Pinto, Br William will offer sermon.

As a part of the parish feast, mass wedding will be organized on October 23. Nine couples have already registered, said Fr Sunil Praveen Pinto, assistant parish priest. Fr Jerald Isac Lobo, bishop of Udupi along with Fr Alban D’Souza will conduct the mass wedding ceremony.

The festal mass will be celebrated by Fr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, bishop of Mangalore, on October 28.

As a part of the cultural programme, Tulu drama troupe ‘Cha Parka’ will stage a play ‘Kala Kambula’.

Dolphy Miranda, vice president of Pakshikere church, Louis D’Souza, editor of Yathrika among others were present.
