Aadhar will Curb Corruption, says PM

Dudu (Raj), Oct 20 (PTI): With UPA facing allegations of corruption, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said his government wants to use new technology to curb dishonesty and bring transparency in governance.

Speaking at the launch of Aadhar-enabled Service Delivery system, he said the unique identity numbers will help 1.5 crore students get scholarships, two crore elderly get old age pensions, three crore to avail health insurance and five crore people get the benefits of MNREGA.

The scheme is aimed at directly transferring cash to beneficiaries under social schemes such as MNREGA and pension.

"By giving benefits directly to the needy, complaints of dishonesty and delay will reduce," Singh said at a function where he handed over Aadhar number '21 crore' to a villager here.

"Our government wants to use new technology in a big way to curb dishonesty and bring transparency in governance. Aadhar is a important step in this direction," he said.

In the past two years, he said, the government has enrolled 24 crore people for Aadhar and "we expect to give Aadhar cards to around 60 crore by 2014".

Addressing the function, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi said the Aadhar scheme gives identity to the common man and is a tool to claim benefits. Using the Aadhar card, she said, the common man can claim his rights anywhere in the country.

"The Aadhar card will help the government in ensuring that subsidy reaches its intended beneficiaries directly and the poor will not have to run from pillar to post to claim their rights," she said.

What about nira adhaar ? How much we have to pay adhaar? Many Bangladeshi and Pakistani have got ration cards and passports by marrying indian ladies. Then they can use their identity to loot the govt. ? They give 500 or 1000 to officers. They are happy with thesec type of baxis or halwa gift.

Self control and good conscience is the best aadhar (help) to control/stop corruption.

If the people at different levels understand their responsibility to the society, needs of each other and the true facts of life, no one can dare to be corrupt.

If we believe and agree that we are living in a temporary tent (the environment), being the sky is the roof, no reason to be corrupt.

In fact, no law, order or force can control corruption, except the clean conscience, heart and mind
Being a powerful in-house court, this can give a true and fair judgment (help to avoid crimes and punishments).

Human beings can control the cruel animals, but cruel and selfish humans are uncontrollable.

Many of the MPs, MLAs, and top govt officers and also their family members themselves have so far not applied for Aadhar Card. Why ?

Are they afraid that their Finger Prints on the currency Notes or documents can be matched with Biomatric finger prints available in the system of Aadhar Card and their offence of taking bribe can be proved Legally in the Court ?

If the finger Prints of each and every Citizen is recorded in the Aadhar Card system then with the help of finger prints available on the spot of Crime and scanning it with finger prints recorded in the Central system of Aadhar Card, the culprits can be identified easily.

It seems none of the readers are Aadhaar members. You can register in your local post office by giving your identity/finger and IRIS and no one can escape from this system. First please register

Why is Mangalore not listed in the www.uidai.gov.in as a center for enrollment.
    Cities like Chickmagalur are listed.
    NOT FAIR.
All the politicians have treated Mangalore as a tissue paper (which is used only during elections) and nothing else.
    Learn from our neighbouring mallus.
Even a delay in AI Express has been ordered to probe by the CM himself.

That means Aadhar Card is going to become a very very important document. In line with this are the authorities that be planning to improve the quality of the card it self? At present it is just a piece of paper, not even laminated or temper proofed. Must think of all, otherwise forged/stolen identities are going to be a very common thing in the future!!

Dear Sardarji, you make all out efforts to curb corruption by common public which we have to appreciate you for proper implementation of Government Tool to curb it. But what about your own MPs’ & MLS’ who come up with new “Avatar” on daily basis of corruption competition among themselves? Do you have any machine to curb them? Did you order for new “Detection Machine” in Vidhan or Lokh Sabha Gates to catch them red handedly?
