Maradona Admits Veronica Carrying his Child

Buenos Aires, Nov 28 (IANS/EFE): Football star Diego Armando Maradona "acknowledges" that girlfriend Veronica Ojeda is carrying his baby but says their relationship is "at an impasse".

Maradona plans to meet with Ojeda when he returns to Argentina, according to a communique released Tuesday through the retired soccer great's attorney, Victor Stinfale.

The former coach of the Argentine national team has two adult daughters by ex-wife Claudia Villafane: Dalma, 25, and Gianina, 23.

Ojeda, Maradona's long-time girlfriend, admitted in September that she was pregnant.
