Vivek Heads for Sabarimala Pilgrimage

Mumbai, Jan 14 (IANS): It's time for some religious activities for actor Vivek Oberoi who has taken a break from his shooting schedule for the Sabarimala pilgrimage in Kerala.

"Switching off for a few days as I leave for my annual pilgrimage to Sabarimala! Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa," Vivek tweeted Sunday.

Situated in the mountain ranges of the Western Ghats at an altitude of 914 metres above sea level, the Sabarimala temple is four km uphill from Pamba in Pathanamthitta district in Kerala.

It is one of the most famous Hindu pilgrim centres in the whole of India.

The temple, which bars the entry of women who have attained puberty, is accessible only on foot from Pamba.

Vivek, 36, has been part of hits like "Company", "Saathiya", "Omkara", and "Shootout at Lokhandwala".

His upcoming projects include "Krrish 3", "Sher", "Zilla Ghaziabad", "Jayanta Bhai Ki Luv Story" and "Grand Masti".
