Dubai, Feb 26: members of Sakath (St Anne's Kutam Thottam ) gathered together at the residence of its senior and founder member Clifford D'Souza recenty to elect the new office bearers for the year 2013 -2014.

Terrance Furtado was unanimously elected as President of Sakath – UAE.

Sakath – UAE, an association of Thottamites living in UAE is affiliated to St Anne’s Church Thottam, Udupi diocese. Sakath is actively involved in various development activities of St Anne’s Church, Thottam and society at large.

The general body meeting and election process started with a prayer from Melwyn D'Souza.The post of president was lying vacant after the sudden demise of Alfred D'Souza in the month of December 2012.

New president Terrance Furtado while taking charge thanked all the founder members, committee members and other members for having trust in his capabilities and electing him as president and promised to carry on the good and noble work of the late Alfred D'Souza. He also said that the late Alfred D'Souza was a great visionary and he had many unfulfilled dreams towards the betterment of Thottam church and Sakath, and with this new committee he would do his best to fulfill the dreams of the late Alfred D'Souza .

The following members were selected to the committee and they took the oath to take Sakath-UAE towards new heights.
