    Hello Monica,
My comments or intentions are not to mislead the readers .it is based on information that I have read in the media and other resources in the internet ,though I cannot vouch for the credibility of my source of information,I do believe that the measures that these govt's have taken is path-breaking and out of the box .It is possible to control drug abuse by these means more than the rehab path or having more draconian laws which often leads to human rights violation.

India had joined Narcotic Drugs & Psychtropic substances (NDPS) in 1985 which time all those who were involved in drug trafficking, small scale or big sick or disabled would be penalized with death sentence which later on was reversed. Now these drug traffickers do not get death sentence hence useless saying "hang the guys"
Ganja\cannabis which are banned but not very harmful if used, is also used widely by Sadhus. If police want to catch, they can check on them and some of them may be carriers too.
That is why may be, some of these godmen\sadhus have good number of followers including ladies.
Makes it easy for some of these "NAKHLI" godmen to take advantage of innocent people.

How you can seek such punishment to him. What have the children done to go through that, even if it is a punishment meant to their father??
    Think something else please.

Even though we have enough laws to deal with these types of cases, I suggest the the society in general and the community the culprit belongs to in particuler should boycot him. The Social untouchability is the best tool.

Drug peddling is a parasite within the society. The narcotics department should swing into action by ensuring stricter laws (gallows) like Kingdom of Saudi Arabia & Singapore to the people who are involved in this act. Is it possible to completely eradicate this menace? I hope the society should also come forward as a team in bringing a stop to this.

What's the use country like Afghanistan wholly depend upon 'Drugs'..and spreading 'poison' to the society..!! That's the reason always we can see 'devastation' on that place..after all earlier it's place of Gandhara (Kandahar). Gandhari's marriage was arranged to Dhritarashtra.

Just to know the impact of Drug consumption, better Police should feed some Ganja Power to his own Children in front of his eyes. Then only they can feel the aftermath of Drug Trafficking. Else these thugs will come out on bail facilitated by their Bosses and do the business as usual
