Kasargod: Three drug peddlers in police net - 54 kg of ganja seized

Kasargod, Mar 13: In yet another major drug haul, Kasargod police on Tuesday March 12 seized 54 kg of ganja and arrested three persons.

The accused ae Abdul Lathif (40) of K K Pura, Talangere, Kalandar Shafi (22) of Kaikamba, Uppala, and Haris of Talangere.

The police were carrying out routine checking of vehicles at Karandakkad. A Tata Sumo driven by the accused also passed by, but did not stop despite police orders.

The Sumo sped away via Madoor road and the police it gave a chase. They waylaid the car when it reached Soorlu and caught hold of the three.

On questioning, the three were unable to answer clearly which further raised police suspicion.

The police then inspected the Sumo and found 54 kg of ganja hidden inside.

It is suspected that they were transporting the ganja from Mangalore.

Further investigations are on.

    I think daiji should start separate new category for ganja news !!! Clear indication of failure of concerned department to find the root.. If they trace the root and give good treatment they no one will dare to do this business. Give them good treatment and make them good human beings..

    Pimps-drug peddlers- extortionists- rapists-murderers-should be SHOT dead in public -their organs to be used to benefit the dying and make organic manure from these guys since they are only killing generations of youngsters by selling-encouraging use of DRUGS.

    I think the mallus have lots of money, legal, illegal whatever...No wonder now most of the business in Kulda are run by these keralites. You go to city centre mall most of the cars, specially SUVs are from Kerala.

    Earlier we were talking about special fast track courts. I think we need special jails too for these special people with special food made out of the stuff they deal with.

    yet another same problem case. why cant they understand about this? is this because of force, uneducated or easy earning? i think they might have done this so many time but this time bad luck on their part
