Dubai: Bhatkali Community to host All-India Kabaddi tournament on April 12

Dubai, Mar 21: UAE residents will be treated to fun and excitement at the all-India Kabaddi tournament being hosted at the Sharjah Wanderers Sports Club. A total of 16 teams from UAE will be allowed to play in the inaugural edition of the tournament, which will take place on April 12.

The tournament will be hosted by the Bhatkali Community in Dubai and participation will be open to companies, clubs, organisations and associations in the UAE.

"There have been smaller Kabaddi competitions in the past but this is the first time a national level tournament will be hosted in the UAE. We are hoping to see a big participation from Indian residents living in different Emirates," said a spokesperson from the tournament's organising committee.

Matches will be played on a league basis followed by knockout games in the semi-final and final stages.
