Los Angeles, May 17 (IANS): Singer Shakira has decided not to return as judge of US singing competition "The Voice" as she wants to give due attention to her newborn baby.
Shakira, who is dating footballer Gerard Pique, gave birth to son Milan in January. The baby is her priority, and she also wants to concentrate on her singing career as of now.
"I'm not going to be able to do next season because I have to get back to my motherhood and also get back to the studio, the recording studio, to finish my album, the one that I started working on before I had to deliver a baby and before I took this gig with 'The Voice'," usmagazine.com quoted Shakira as saying.
However, she has not ruled out the chances of returning to the show in future.
"So yeah, I have to take a little break. But you never know, I might come back," she said.
