Mumbai: Thousands pay homage to Professor Seetharam R Shetty

Mumbai, Sep 10: Thousands of fans paid homage to famous poet, critic, teacher, professor and scholar, professor Seetharam R Shetty, who breathed his last recently.

The programme was held at Srimathi Radhabhai T Bhandari hall in Bantara Bhavana at Kurla on September 7.

Abhijnya S Shetty, daughter of Professor Shetty, teachers Dr G D Joshi, relatives Chandrahasa Shetty, Prasad Shetty, Arathi Shetty, Bantara Sangha Mumbai president C A Shanker B Shetty, Aikala Harish Shetty, Jayashrikrishna environment committee president Harish Kumar M Shetty, Thane Bunts president C A Jagadish H Shetty, former president D G Bolar, Mumbai Bunts association president Justice Ratnakar V Shetty, Kannadiga artiste’s parishat Maharastra president Surendra Kumar Hegde, Akshaya monthly honorary president M B Kukyan, Yuva BJP leader Inna Udayakumar Hegde, Sri Rajaka Sangha Mumbai president and Chinnara Bimba’s Satish Salian, Jagajyothi arts band president Vasanth Suvarna, journalist Navin K Inna, Santhosh D Shetty Navi Mumbai, Santhosh Hegde Ratnakar Shetty Mundkoor, Smt Shakuntala K Kotian, B Balachandra Rao etc offered their last respects to the departed soul.

Ashish S Shetty, son of Seetharam Shetty; Yaksha Manasa Association president and Prof Seetharama’s brother Shekar R Shetty and family, Raghu P Shetty, Vivek Shetty, Ulthooru Mohandas Shetty, Dr K Rathnakar Shetty Bhandup, M D Shetty, Sudhakar S Hegde, Justice Kadandale Parari Prakash L Shetty, Shivaram G Shetty, Justice Anand V Shetty, N C Shetty, Justice Subhash B Shetty, Santhkumar jain, Ramachandra Ganiga Anand P Shetty, Kodu Bhoja Shetty, Narayan Shetty Nandalike, Innabalike Navin Shetty, Suresh Shetty Yeyyadi, Karnoor Mohan Rai, Kannadiga journalists association Maharastra president Chandrashekar Palethady, Billavara Jagruthi Balaga Mumbai joint secretary Chitrapu K M Kotian, Sham N Shetty, C A Karunakara M Shetty, Thonse Sanjeeva Poojary and several dignitaries, office bearers and members of organizations, hundreds of pupils of the deceased and fans who were present paid their homage.

Thonse Vijayakumar Shetty of Kalajagathu conducted the programme. Padmanabha Sasihitlu of Kala Saurabha narrated the life of Professor Shetty in a poetic way and paid his respects.
