Doha: Tulu Koota holds blood donation camp

Doha, Oct 5: The annual blood donation drive of Tulu Koota Qatar held on Friday October 4 at blood donors unit, Hamad Medical Corporation, received a huge response.
 
Around 350 expatriates attended the programme while a record number of 60 members were able to donate blood after a routine checkup.

Dr Arjun Shetty addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of donating blood. President of Tulu Koota Qatar Seetharam Shetty welcomed the gathering.
 
ICFB officials Milan Arun, Ramachandra Shetty, Habibul Nabi, Karnataka Sangha president  Deepak Shetty, KMCA president Niyaz Ahmed, SKMWA president Ibrahim Byari, Billawa Sangh president Divakar Poojary, KTWA president Ashmath Ali, Bunts Qatar vice-president Prakash Chandra Ajila, senior citizen Syed Abdul Hye, Toasmasters Rammohan Rai and Rehman Saab, former president of Karnataka Sangh Mannangi, Mumtaz Hussain, managing director of Benchmark, senior officials of Tulu Koota Qatar, and several prominent members of the Indian community attended the programme.

M Iqbal Manna of Special Needs proposed the vote of thanks. M Ravi Shetty compered the event.
 
The committee also extended its gratitude to Mohammed Saleem, managing director of Team Engineering, and M Ravi Shetty, managing director of ATS, for arranging their employees to join the noble activity of donating blood.
