I have had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Pratap Reddy ever since his posting to Mangalore as Inspector General of Police - Western Range. A forthright and good person who made a name for himself as an honest and efficient officer. His leaving Mangalore is indeed a loss to the people of Mangalore. However a known person like Mr. Seemath Kumar is back in Mangalore. As a Commissioner of Police earlier, he had built a good name for himself. He is the architect of the present modern Commissioner's office - a well planned and well designed building. I join several others in wishing this fine officer a very pleasant and fruitful tenure in Mangalore.

It is sad that Mr. Shantanu Sinha is leaving Mangalore after spending only a few months here. It is my thought, prayer and wish that he does well wherever he is posted. Mr. Sinha is a young man and has a bright future ahead of him. Let us hope that he returns to Mangalore as The Commissioner in due course.

The new Superintendent of Police Mr. S.D. Sharanappa comes to D.K. armed a fund of knowledge and experience. I have no doubt that he will be a great asset to Dakshina Kannada. I wish him a very long and fruitful tenure in the district.
