Indian boy killed in UAE desert safari

Dubai, March 21 (IANS): A four-year-old Indian boy died in a mishap while he was on a desert safari with his family in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Pranav, from Alappuzha in the south Indian state of Kerala, was killed when the four-wheel drive vehicle he and his family were dune bashing in overturned Tuesday in a desert in the Madam area of Sharjah, the Khaleej Times reported Thursday.

The boy was rushed to Dhaid Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival due to head injuries.

Pranav’s father Arun Kumar, a television cameraman, and his brother Ajith Kumar organised the desert safari after the latter and his family had come over for a visit from India.

Pranav was travelling with his brother and parents in the vehicle which overturned while the rest of the family members were in another vehicle.

"Our car had driven up a dune and it overturned when it was going down. I think the climb down the mound was steeper than what the driver assumed and he lost control," Ajith was quoted as saying.

He said the vehicle turned turtle a couple of times and Pranav was flung out of a side window due to the impact of the crash.

All others escaped with minor injuries.

Very Sad ,My heartfelt condolences to Family members.
When I had gone for Safari in Dubai, They didn't allow my Son, who was five years, they said its dangerous as there is no seat belt for kids.
Then how was this kid allowed.
    Was there no safety measurements?
If the driver was the daily person he should have known the route because its the same route thye take. Anyway it unfortunate.
