Muscat: United Pangalites celebrates Easter

Muscat, May 2: Muscat United Pangalites (MUP)in Oman celebrated Easter on April 25 at the Grill House, Qurum with its members and along with their families and friends.

Melwyn Menezes compered the programme by calling upon the key office bearers of MUP Shyla Machado, Lavina D’sa, Terrence D’souza and Prakash D’sa to the stage. 


MUP President Shyla Machado welcomed the gathering. In her welcome note she conveyed Easter wishes and sought Risen Lord’s blessings upon all the people gathered there. Lavina D’sa conducted the prayer assisted by Joel Mendoca and Priyanka Rodrigues. Children came in procession carrying lit up candles to the stage where a decorated Divine Mercy picture was kept.

Soon after the prayers, snacks were served to all. Lavina D’sa conducted the games for the children. 

Laughter and fun filled skits were performed by MTS Express (Melvin, Terrence and Sunil) which kept the audience splitting with laughter. 

Terrence Dsouza took over charge of entertaining the audience by conducting various games for the youngsters and adults. At the end there was a housie game for all. New born members to MUP family baba Jaden D’souza and baby Ashna Martis were welcomed to the group and honored by handing over gifts to them by Shyla Machado. 

Prizes were distributed to all the winners. The programme ended with a baila dance session to the sound of DJ Stany Menezes. The evening was much appreciated by all present.
