Pune techie murder:Maha govt mulling ban on Hindu Rashtra Sena

Mumbai, Jun 14 (PTI): Maharashtra government will examine if the controversial outfit Hindu Rashtra Sena could be banned in the wake of Pune techie Mohsin Shaikh's murder, Home Minister R R  Patil said here today.

"We will check if the outfit can be banned," Patil said, replying to a calling attention notice by MLC Kapil Patil.

The MLC wanted to know which are the forces behind the IT professional's murder in Hadapsar area of Pune.

"Police are serious on both the outfit and its chief Dhananjay Desai," the minister said.
So far, 23 persons have been arrested in this connection. Many serious offences have already been registered against Desai, he said.

"We will also check if the killing is linked to the murder of rationalist Narendra Dabholkar in Pune in August last year, the minister said.

Kapil Patil said the outfit had created terror among the minority community who are reeling under fear.

Council Chairman Shivajirao Deshmukh said if such killings are taking place in broad public view, it should be condemned.

The 28-year-old techie was killed by a violent mob on June 2 at suburban Hadapsar following surfacing of a Facebook post denigrating King Shivaji and late Bal Thackeray.

As per my opinion he will follow UPA policies and he get the credit ( already started ribbon cutting )

If the organization is going to be banned, then BJP & Shiva sene will benefit from this move. Banning is nothing but eyewash and it is not going to give any solution, Instead of that send the arrested 250 - 300 goondas of Pune to Andaman for min 10 years. Then all the goondas and rowdy dogs on the roads will learn a good lesson....By keeping them in jails, no one should feel that we are wasting tax payers money. In Andaman employ them as labourers in various govt projects and use their earnings to feed them and cloth them.

I read many comments saying banning
any institution or groups is not the solution. I DEEP HEARTEDLY support this. Our new PM has to deal with such situation seriously.
If he wants to maintain his pre-pole promises, he should act NOW.
All roughs like Ram Sene,HRS,RSS Etc will fall in line with discipline. This is a plus point to

How does it help in curbing the crimes?
Take actions, whoever it is without considering criminals political or religious affiliations, that's all.

Ban is not solution for any organisation. we should respect each and every religious faith also we lives as INDIANS all religions leaders make sure that each INDIANS lives peacefully without any communal remarks. If any particular organisation trying to disturb social peace then all religion leaders be unity and raise the voice against violence. I hope this type of changes will come, all religion will feel, like "Indians walo ki acche din agaye hai"
