Mary Kom participates in 'Swacch Bharat Abhiyan'

Imphal, Oct 24 (ANI): Champion pugilist M.C. Mary Kom on Friday wielded a broom and participated in the 'Swacch Bharat Abhiyan' launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 2.

"Our Prime Minister has organized 'Swacch Bharat Abhiyan' everywhere, it is a good cause. It is a happy feeling that I am cleaning everything," said Kom.

The 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' was launched nationwide to focus on sanitation, hygiene and waste management.

It encourages people to sweep, remove garbage, debris and unauthorized encroachments from roads, markets and residential places.

The 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' aims at making India a clean country by 2019, the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

    Good, Mary Kom, anything that is good and in the interest of of our country and people, sponsored by any party or person, should be supported.
    Anything that is against the interest of our Country and its people should be opposed be it by any person or party.
    It will then become difficult for Politicians to pursue anything that is bad for the country and fool people.
    God not only judges our words and action but secrets thoughts be hind it.

    Jossey Saldanha, Mumbai that will not effect them because they will be coming to sweep once in a day and after that again surroundings becomes dirty and you might have to wait for the sweepers to come next day. In that case you can voluntary participate to clean the surroundings during your free time for swatch bharath abhiyan. I know you will not participate in swatch bharat abhiyan as congies have always taught you to make surroundings dirty.
