Annual revision of electoral rolls, last date for submission Nov 25

Bengaluru, Nov 4: The time schedule for the exercise for annual revision of the Electoral Rolls for all the 224 Assembly Constituencies of Karnataka has now been announced by the State’s Chief Electoral Officer Anil Kumar Jha.

The last date for submission of any claims for entries or objections is November 25 and the final rolls are scheduled to be published in January next year.

Electors may enrol online at www.voterregkar.nic.in.

For more details, the voters can check the website of the CEO: www.ceokarnataka.kar.nic.in or call the toll free number 1950.

The CEO has, in an official press release, announced that the draft electoral rolls of all the 224 assembly constituencies in the State have been published on October 30.
The draft rolls are available in all Taluk Offices/ Municipal Ward Offices/ BBMP Revenue Offices.

Electors are requested to search their names in the draft electoral rolls. They may also search online at www.ceokamataka.kar.nic.in

Those who attain 18 years of age on 01.01.2015 and are residing in Karnataka are eligible for enrolment.
If the names of the voters are missing in the electoral roll or if they need to enrol for the first time, electors are required to submit Form No. 6 along with passport size photograph, copy of the date of birth certificate and document for proof of address to the respective Booth Level Officer /Taluk Office/ Municipal Ward Office/BBMP Revenue Office.
If the electors need to change/modify their details pertaining to name, age, relation etc in the electoral rolls, they are required to submit Form-8 along with necessary supportive documents.

If the electors have shifted residence from one polling station limits to another polling station limits but in the same Assembly Constituency, they are required to submit Form No. 8A along with necessary documentary proof.
If the electors have shifted residence from one Assembly Constituency to another Assembly Constituency, they are required to submit Form No. 6 along with a declaration in part IV of the application (Form-6).

The press release has made it clear that it is an offence to enrol in more than one Assembly Constituency. Therefore, the electors are requested to ensure that they are enrolled in only one Assembly Constituency. To delete an entry/name, electors may submit Form 7.
