Japanese auto makers report healthy sales in November


Mumbai, Dec 1 (IANS): Japanese automobile manufacturer Monday reported healthy sales for last month.

According to sales figures, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), Honda Cars and Suzuki Motorcycle India all closed November 2014 with healthy sales numbers.

Bangalore-based TKM reported an increase of 11 percent in sales last month, which stood at 14,134 units, including exports from 12,748 units in the corresponding month last year.

Premium automobile manufacturer Honda Cars India said its monthly domestic sales stood at 15,263 units last month, which represented a growth of 64 percent.

The company had sold 9,332 in the corresponding month last year.

“We continue to witness strong demand for all our products across markets. We are aggressively expanding our dealer network to reach out to more customers," said Jnaneswar Sen, senior vice president, marketing and sales, Honda Cars India.

Two-wheeler manufacture Suzuki Motorcycle India reported a two percent increase in its November 2014 sales at 33,400 units from 32,799 units off-take in the corresponding month of last year.
