Brett Lee announces retirement


Sydney, Jan 15 (IANS): Former Australia pacer Brett Lee Thursday announced that he will retire from all forms of cricket following the conclusion of the Big Bash League (BBL) this year.

Lee, 38, stepped down from international cricket in 2012 but has since continued to play the Twenty20 format, reports Xinhua.

The Australian played 76 Tests, taking 310 wickets, but was more successful in the One-Day International (ODI) arena, claiming 380 wickets in 221 matches.

Right-armer Lee is playing for Sydney Sixers in the BBL.
