Australia hammer India to post 371 in practice match

Adelaide, Feb 8 (IANS): Twin centuries from opener David Warner (104) and middle-order batsman Glenn Maxwell (122) helped Australia hammer India to post a huge total of 371 in a World Cup practice match here Sunday.

Australia were bowled out in 48.2 overs but after putting up a strong batting display.

Sunday’s match at the Adelaide Oval is the first in a series of warm-up games ahead of the start of the ICC World Cup that kicks off with matches in Melbourne in Australia and Christchurch in New Zealand next Saturday.

The two countries are co-hosts of the World Cup this year.

    Just like I said earlier, if Kohli does not stay longer, nothing goes right.
    Things were not bad, score was good, Rahane and Dhawan should have applied themselves to stay there as the score was moving well. Instead one after the other, went for wild shots.
    These type of batting from these good players, shows it will take them longer to be S.T.\Dravid\ Gangully and others. They should take the situation seriously, even if it is a warm up game.
    See the debacle once they were out...!!! Rest fell like ten pin after that.

    Come on guys!!! Buck up!!!
