Snooker: Double for Pankaj Advani


Bengaluru, Feb 14 (IANS): National champion Pankaj Advani of ONGC, who had won the billiards crown earlier this week, completed a double when he defeated IOCL's Ishpreet Chaddha 3-2 in the snooker final of the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board's inter-unit championship which concluded here Saturday.

The results:

Professionals (Final): Pankaj Advani (ONGC) bt Ishpreet Chaddha (IOCL) 3-2 (70-36, 26-69, 124-00, 56-66, 79-64). Semi-finals: Advani bt Manan Chandra (BPCL)3-1; Chaddha bt Rupesh Shah (ONGC) 3-0. For 3-4 placing: Shah bt Chandra 3-2.

Quarter-finals: Chaddha bt Himanshu Jain (GAIL) 3-0; Advani bt Ketan Chawla (GAIL) 3-0; Chandra bt Brijesh Damani (IOCL) 3-1; Shah bt Dhvraj Haria (IOCL) 3-1.

Non Professionals (Final): Tashriq Haque (OIL) bt Dilip NathA (OIL) 2-0. Semi-finals: Haque bt Amrish Kamalapuri (GAIL) 2-1; Nath bt P Karmakar (OIL) 2-0. For 3-4 placing: Kamalapuri bt Karmarkar 2-0.
